CNC Jack-O-Lanterns

This was a fun and quick Halloween decoration using some cheap cedar fence pickets. I carved out a few different jack-o-lantern faces on the CNC and then assembled with a finish nailer and used a light coat of spray paint to leave the wood grain visible. Continue reading

Child's Canoe Paddle

A mini canoe paddle I made for my son when he was 2 years old. It is made up of laminated layers of pine and fir, cut out with a jig saw and tapered with an angled jig in the thickness planer. Sealed with a few coats of spar urethane. Continue reading

Dark Mark Sign

One of my first V-carve projects on my CNC router, I used a purchased file on a walnut panel I glued up. This was before I had a thickness planer, so I surfaced the panel on the CNC before carving. Filled with green epoxy and surfaced it back down. Continue reading

After a family friend gifted me a Delta 8″ bandsaw he didn’t need anymore, I decided I needed to come up with a project idea to utilize the saw. My son was almost one year old and starting to really enjoy playing in the bath, so I decided a wooden boat would do the trick. Continue reading

Coffee and Tea Crate Shelf

I built this crate-style shelf out of Home Depot pine boards and some cute silver spoon hooks from Etsy to hold the mugs. Finished with Varathane Antique White stain. Continue reading
